Beginning of the My Journey visiting Colleges & Delivering Sessions

It all began with me boarding a late night Rajahamsa bus service to Tumkur. I reached Tumkur bus stand in wee hours of 4am and it wasn't a sight to behold!!!

I next took an auto to my first landmark Siddaganga Institute of Technology, a premier engineering college of Karnataka with a very long successful history. I was supposed to ring my host who was Dr. Nalini, the HOD of IS Dept and also one of the nicest host I have come across. But I thought not to disturb her at such a awkward time and so waited looking at the faces of the early morning joggers already jogging around the sprawling SIT campus and later at around 6 i finally rang Dr. Nalini and was put up in Kennedy Guest House which was built in 70s, a very nice place though. I dozed off as soon as i reached there and was woken up by my cell screaming - It was mummy waking me up!!! (I always wonder how Mothers know everything to be done!!! OMG they are awesome beings.....)

I later on found myself in the chamber of my host Dr. Nalini who was beaming with smile. We got off to the venue of the Workshop on "Microsoft” , the MCA building and guess who was the speaker??? It was me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont doubt I am good at speaking.... ;-)

And then at 10.30am the sessions began as follows ....
10.30 - 11.30am Session on Microsoft Academic Initiatives
Agenda - To make the audience aware of the Microsoft Initaitives in India so that make the best use of them.
11.30 - 12.30 am - Session on Windows 7
Agenda - To make the audience well versed in the latest buzz in the OS market. So that they can be one step ahead of the people who are still sticking with Vista.
12.30 - 1.30pm - Session on Office 2007
Agenda - Do not restrict yourself to Word, Powerpoint and Excel.... Do more with the other awesome tools of Microsoft Office like One note, Groove, Outlook etc.... A lot to offer!!!
2.00 - 3.00pm - Session on Microsoft Silverlight
Agenda - To introduce the audience to the Popular Silverlight and to know how actually it suppports web based application
3.00 - 4.00pm - Session on Robotics Studio

Agenda - In todays world nobody asks you to generally build a robot from scratch, Its like you are given a robot and you program it. Its the era of Viratual Robots. So learn how to get started and more.... to build your own Virtual robots. Explore your own imagination!!!
4.00pm - 5.00 pm - Session on LiveatEdu

Agenda - To tell the benefits of LiveatEdu deployment in your institution. LiveatEdu is the latest buzz where in each an every person associated with the institution will be getting a email login with 35GB of space with the latest Live account features. This email service has been endorsed by world's premium Institutions like University of Pennysylvania etc.

And guess what i got a average feedback of 9 ;-) I know u thought i bored them but i didnt.. Actually I was thrilled to see the enthusiasm of the students who had so much to ask and were rewarded too with DVDs etc.

The highlight was.. which i will never forget to get my first Honorary for conducting the Workshop like a Professional... I was thrilled!!!! The feeling was magical and i couldn’t contain myself. I thank Dr. Nalini for this opportunity and hope to get more such invitations from her.

Next i went to my second landmark Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology- A new college which is making remarkable progress. The host here was Dr. Prasad Babu, a man with loads of experience in teaching and HOD of CSE Dept.

I was nicely welcomed there and was really happy. The next morning I found myself with Dr. Prasad Babu and together we moved to EduSat Hall the venue of the Workshop. The same set of sessions like in SIT was delivered and i got 9 in feedback Plus My second Honorary.... Which Dr. Prasad Babu insisted upon, I thank him for giving me a opportunity and wish he invites me in future as well.
Later I took a Rajahamsa back to Dharwad savouring the happy moments of the past 2 days. They were like a dream... Truly the most eventful....

And one more thing to my readers I don’t conduct these workshops for monetary benefits, I only do it just for my satisfaction and as a Technology Enthusiast- to learn and to pass on the knowledge.
